WREB
Intensive 5-Day Program
Florida Dental Board Preps
The Gordy Course
1.800.414.8222
Florida Dental Board Preps is excited and pleased to announce that we will be again presenting our intensive WREB preparation program in Florida. Our program is nearly 60 hours. For students and practitioners alike the course is designed such that you would only need to miss 3 work days or school days. This was a result of a request by a number of students and dentists who have taken our Florida program and then decided to take the WREB. Last year 2007 was our first course. We had over 30 attend and we are pleased to report that we had only one failure. Our course is even more significant this year because WREB has added a new section never used by any other previous testing agency call Patient Assessment Treatment Planning (PATP). We will be able to review this with you. It is a written section unlike any other. You are expected to write out a treatment plan using long hand rather than answer any short answer questions. Also new this year is the addition of a patient Class III Composite option. Our nearly 30 years dealing with NERB, Florida, California and now WREB as well as our pass rate last year tells you what we teach is correct.
The success for any licensing examination is being confident that you are prepared and can deal with any and all the procedures you are required to perform. Little things such as:
What patient procedures should I do first?
How can I be assured that my Endo set up will be accepted?
What teeth should I use for Endo
What is the Prosthodontic computer exam like?
What is the Periodontics computer exam like?
What is the new PATP like?
What is Zomorphix
How can I be assured that my patients will be accepted
Do I really need to identify all of the calculus?
Do monitor notes and modification requests help or hurt me?
When do I really need a base or liner?
If I do 2 Class II’s does it make a difference which Class II I select for amalgam versus composite?
Is a Class III a better choice than two Class II procedures
Our 5-day intensive course is designed to answer all these questions and more. You will have an opportunity to do hands on practice for the Endodontic section. We will teach you an easy and foolproof method of quickly and accurately performing your Endodontic procedure. You will practice patient Operative procedures using typodonts that you will be able to mount simulating a patient. We will cover all aspects of the didactic Periodontal, Prosthetic and PATP parts of the examination. (See course schedule below.)
